Rosé Rosé

Tastes like summer

Usual Rosé is succulent, not sugary, with that vegetal freshness your taste buds crave on a hot day. Enjoy chilled, sans shoes for best results.

100% Santa Barbara

A picturesque coastal region framed by mountains, creating a cool, foggy breeze to offset the warm California sunshine, resulting in longer cultivation periods. Santa Barbara grapes typically have more time on the vine to develop their special character and flavor.

Santa Ynez Valley
Runs east to west with cool temperatures on the coast that gradually warm as you come inland.

Los Olivos District
A broad alluvial terrace, unique for the uniformity of its geology and soils.

Happy Canyon
Its inland position means a significantly warmer climate, ideal for later ripening varietals like our Malbec.

No additives

Our wines are made the natural way, in small, sustainably farmed batches with no additives. Our grapes are artfully honed from the finest vineyards, so once they hit the barrels, we let them do their thing with minimal intervention. It’s not the only way to make wine, but it’s the best.

No added sugar

You’re here to drink wine, not grape soda. No reason to artificially sweeten the best grapes Santa Barbara has to offer.

No added sulfites

With added sulfites, at best the flavor is dulled, at worst you feel it the next day—they’re what many blame for wine-induced headaches and hangovers.

All about the grapes

The first step in making a great wine is selecting which grapes to use. Our rosé consists of grape varieties that are classic to the Provençe style, but best suited to grow in the Golden State.

Syrah

Rhône varietal that’s famous in CA as a fashionable alternative to Cabernet Sauvignon, offering more nuance and grace.

Sangiovese

The main grape in Chianti and the perfect red fruit component for crisp rosé.

Malbec

Deep color, swathes of fruit, and that Malbec spiciness that we can’t get enough of.

Talking dirty

Soil is (literally) the foundational element that separates mediocre wines from the greats. When it comes to deciding where to source our grapes, we start with the dirt.

Loam

A warm, soft, crumbly mix of sand, silt, and clay, loam is incredibly nutritious. When blended with other soils in the right amounts, it makes for powerful, voluptuous wines.

Alluvial

A gravely blend of soils that’s deposited over many years by running water and typically contains a lot of organic material left behind from the now-gone bodies of water.
