San Jaoquin County, CA, is one of California's most dynamic and historic wine-growing regions, spanning seven sub-appellations and shaped by the cooling influence of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. With vineyards planted on ancient granitic sands washed down from the Sierra Nevada, this region benefits from afternoon Delta breezes, deep well-drained soils, and one of the widest day-to-night temperature swings in the state—ideal conditions for growing more than 125 grape varieties, from century-old Zinfandel to aromatic Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier.
