Excellent wine should be enjoyed more often, and to the last drop. Usual takes the same artful approach to making real wine, but delivers it in generous single-serve glasses. No sweeteners, no flavorings, and no stale, re-corked bottles. Yes to sustainable farms, the best grapes in California, and a fresh glass every time.

Shipping Policy

We currently ship within the United States. We are unable to ship to the following states: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Hawaii, Kansas, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Utah, and Vermont. We are also unable to ship to PO boxes, APO addresses, and certain dry zip codes.

The customer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcohol and must abide by their local and state laws.

Order Confirmation

As soon as you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation e-mail. This means that we have received your order in our system and charged your credit card for the purchase.

Lost or Damaged Packages

If your package is lost or damaged, we will re-ship your order at no additional cost to you. A lost package is defined as a package that has not arrived to you after 30 days of shipment and does not have a confirmed delivery from the carrier.

Cancellations & Refunds

If you wish to cancel you order, please contact us as soon as possible. Depending on the progress of your order, a cancellation may or may not be possible. Refunds will only be issued to the original credit card that you use when placing your order. Orders are unable to be canceled and refunded prior to shipping.


You must be 21 years of age to order and a signature of someone 21 years of age is required. A government-issued ID card will be checked at the time of delivery.

Carriers will make up to three delivery attempts. Please contact the carrier for any missed delivery attempts.

Returns Policy

While we strive to make wines that everyone will love, we understand that wine is highly personal and everyone has personal preferences. Alcohol shipping laws do not allow for us to accept returns. We do not offer refunds due to personal taste preferences.

Refund Policy

Damaged or incorrect items upon delivery only - we will re-ship a new product at no extra cost. Please provide a photo of the damaged product upon delivery to hello@usualwines.com for assistance.

Gift Cards

Gift Cards are non-refundable.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check with your bank or credit card company. It may take some time before your refund is posted, typically 3-5 business days. If you’ve taken these steps, please contact us at insert email 

Coupons/Promo Codes

Discounts must be applied at the time of purchase. We are unable to apply a discount to an already-placed order

Can I pick up a delivery due to the adult signature requirement?

Absolutely! We ship via both FedEx and UPS, so you can contact the shipper once your order is on it's way and request to have your package held at one of their locations and pickup at your own convenience. Please note we are unable to accept request for specific shipping providers.

How do I place an order?

Ordering from Usual is simple. Simply choose the wine you are interested in and select if you would like to make a one-off purchase or if you would like to join our monthly club. Be sure to send your wines to an address where someone 21+ will be available to sign

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover, and Diners Club credit cards or debit cards. We also accept Paypal. Unfortunately, we cannot accept checks or money orders.

I forgot to enter my discount code!

Unfortunately, discount codes are unable to be applied retroactively.

How do your subscriptions work?

Looking to receive Usual on a regular basis? You can sign up for subscription shipments of our Red, Rosé, Brut or the Mixed Pack. Shipments are automatically processed every 4 weeks from your sign up date and are available in quantities of 6, 12 or 24 glasses for the Red, Rosé or Brut, and 12 and 24 glasses for the Mixed Pack.  Monthly Plans receive a 17% discount off each shipment and require a two shipment minimum commitment. You can cancel anytime after your first two shipments directly on your account page or by emailing hello@usualwines.com.

I signed up for the Year of Usual, can you remind me how that works?

The Year of Usual was a limited time offer during the 2021 holiday season where you prepaid to receive 12 glasses of wine per month for 12 months.  Your wines will automatically be shipped each month on your membership processing date.  Your membership will not renew after the 12 month prepaid duration.  Please keep in mind that the Year of Usual is not eligible for cancellation or refunds.  All sales are final.

Some of my wines have little crystals floating in them, what are they?

What you're seeing are tartrates, they are completely normal and harmless. Tartaric acid is a harmless byproduct of natural winemaking. Their presence in a wine signifies that the wine was not treated with harsh chemicals and therefore, the natural polyphenols and aromas of the grapes and terroir are all unharmed.  Tartrates will sometimes appear in our wines (especially during cold weather or extended cold storage), due to our minimal intervention winemaking techniques.

What are your bottles made of? Are they recyclable?

Our bottles are made of high-quality beverage-grade glass and are fully recyclable.

At this time, we offer select wholesale opportunities in California.  Please email hello@usualwines.com and your request will be reviewed.

I’d love to serve Usual at my event or send it as gifts, do you offer a large ordering program?

You can submit a pricing request via our corporate gifting page and we will get back to you asap! Note our bulk order minimum is 120 glasses (5 cases) to qualify for a discount.
