We are looking for a sharp, motivated sales representative to join one of the fastest growing DTC wine brands in the country.

Excellent wine should be enjoyed more often, and to the last drop. Usual takes the same artful approach to making real wine, but delivers it in generous single-serve glasses. No additives, no sweeteners, and no stale, re-corked bottles. Yes to sustainable farms, the best grapes in California, and a fresh glass every time.

After launching online last year, we are expanding to retail for 2020. This is an opportunity to join one of the most exciting businesses in wine, at the ground level.

The Role

You will be responsible for placing our wines on the shelves and in the hands of the most interesting places possible; culturally significant brands from other verticals that align with and complement ours. You'll be tasked with brainstorming super-smart wholesale initiatives that best utilize Usual's not-so-usual form factor, and high-design aesthetic; way beyond just your average restaurants and wine stores.

You would be the first to ever sell our brand in a wholesale capacity in California. We are looking for someone to take this on part time in addition to other books that they already carry.

Note — The role would be entirely commission based with the opportunity to advance.

Requirements
  • 3+ years experiences in sales
  • Creative thinker
  • Tuned into CA culture and zeitgeist
  • Experience with regular reporting and invoicing
  • Knowledge of SF Bay Area and CA
  • Proven track record of new business development

Recommended
  • Carry other portfolios/books
  • Potential to help assist with occasional events and brand management
  • Experience having launched DTC brands for the first time wholesale
